Quay Damage

There has been ongoing incessant damage to Port Navas Quay since the Oyster Unit took over the lease from the Duchy of Cornwall.  This area of the village was once the Village Green. The aim of this site is to publicise the extent of this damage and to hold those who are responsible accountable.  Just look at the most recent images below taken in 2011 which highlight the now sorry state of the Quay.  The Quay, which is Grade 2 Listed, now resembles something from a rough industrial estate.

From the Quay's construction in the 19th Century, the public have had free unhindered access on the Quay.  Indeed, it was once the haunt of famous artists and walkers.  Yet, one visitor recently found himself verbally abused and threatened when attempting to walk on the Quay.   Indeed, with all the industrial equipment littering the beautiful granite - do people really want to walk on the Quay any more?  Perhaps that is the aim?  Is this how the Duchy of Conwall, the owners of the Quay, want visitors treated?......
